In mainland China, online gambling is illegal and the government has taken steps to block access to foreign online gambling websites. Gambling is generally prohibited in China, with the exception of a few state-run lotteries and some authorized sports lotteries and horse racing. The Chinese government has also implemented measures to prevent money from leaving the country to be used for gambling purposes.
