In Taiwan, online gambling is illegal and the government has taken steps to block access to foreign online gambling websites. Gambling of any kind is generally prohibited in Taiwan, with the exception of a few state-run lotteries and some authorized sports lotteries and horse racing. The Taiwanese government has also implemented measures to prevent money from leaving the country to be used for gambling purposes.
